South Tyrol & Lake Garda
Cycling in the country of enjoyment
Enjoy the Italian hospitality and the extremely mild climate on a cycling holiday in South Tyrol or Lake Garda. You do not want to have to pack your bags every day on your well-deserved vacation? Then we recommend a rally in Peschiera del Garda on Lake Garda. Here you can decide daily whether you want to explore the area by bike or spend a relaxing day on the beach of Lake Garda.
The Mediterranean vegetation and the sparkling deep blue water are reminiscent of a beach holiday right on the sea. Starting from Peschiera del Garda you can explore the surrounding countryside with its vineyards, fragrant olive groves and the many quaint farmhouses on various day trips. The typical Italian old town of Peschiera is criss-crossed by countless channels and lies within a mighty, beautifully overgrown fortress. Stop directly at one of the many wineries during one of your daily bike rides, e.g. in Bardolino to taste the famous red wine. Roam the old town of Verona on the paths of the famous lovers Romeo & Juliet.
Visit the Roman Amphitheater in one of Italy's most beautiful cities. Even a round trip in South Tyrol is more than recommended. Here you can expect warm hospitality, local wines and Mediterranean flair on your cycling holiday. In Brixen, one of the oldest cities in Tyrol, you start your round trip. The combination of listed, medieval old town and modern cafes and shops offers your visitors a lot of variety. In the South Tyrolean capital Bolzano you can visit the oldest Tyrolean Ötzi in the archeology museum.
Along the wine routes you will cycle through the largest fruit-growing region in South Tyrol and to Andriano, where the oldest winery in the area is located. Continue to the spa town of Merano, marked by the mild climate and a breathtaking alpine panorama. On the Jaufenpass, it goes first on a brisk descent to Sterzing and then back to the starting point of your round trip.
